This two storey duplex dwelling was renovated and improved after being home to a family with 3 children. Now empty nesters, the clients wanted a more luxurious and sophisticated environment that felt intimate and spacious at the same time.
Downstairs, the kitchen, living and dining rooms were completely gutted, floor tiles were replaced with floating pre-finished oak floor boards, and joinery was custom designed to provide maximum storage whilst maintaining a clean, integrated and spacious look. A Jetmaster gas fireplace, set off centre in the living room has a strong silent presence in the space without being dominating.
The dining room is off the left of the kitchen and living room, and the floating sideboard is finished with the same Caeserstone Carrara Nuvo as the kitchen benchtop, waterfall edges and splashback. A laundry was created off the kitchen with two benchtops opposite each other to cater for any overflow appliances from the kitchen, or for those extra dishes when entertaining.
A small powder room is also located downstairs. Upstairs, two small bedrooms were converted into the master bedroom with a walk-through robe and en suite. The main bathroom was stripped and renovated.
